i'm serious. you will never find it. every time i go looking for it, i have to wander up and down flinders lane a few times muttering to myself. i get stranger looks (stranger than i usually get) and sometime even a few coins out of sympathy. yes, i could write down the address and punch it into my iphone. yes, i could. i can't think of any reason why i don't. it would make the process of finding yuu much easier and make me look less like an asylum escapee. taking it on board, k?

yuu is famous for lunch. by the name you would have already assumed it's a japanese restaurant. and indeed it is. but not in the traditional sense. lunch starts from 12 (i think) and finishes when the food runs out. you can't book - unless you are japanese and have certain connections. i can't verify that but that's usually the way things work. lunch is a set menu affair - again very japanese. and it's very very good.

lunch in the city is never cheap. 12 bucks for a limp sandwich is not uncommon. coffee pushing the 4 dollar mark. isn't there any upside to the aussie dollar wiping the floor with every other currency?

for 18 bucks you get a set lunch at yuu - not bad for a sit-down lunch in the city. the food is excellent - just like being in tokyo. you can also grab a nice glass of wine for those long business lunches on thursday and friday afternoon. it's all good.
