breizoz creperie and bar - 123 smith street fitzroy 3065 9415 7588

'allo. eef you like all sings french, you will love zis place. but of course. mais oui! aah, but we are taking ze piss out of ze french language, yes? yes. when we woke up zis morning, what to eat? where to go? le smith street offers many 'ippie 'angouts and interesting places to eat but none as unusual as ze creperie.

ze crepe is ze national food of bretagne, france. eet is eaten with lots of le cidre and ooh la la. you can 'ave your crepe stuffed with savoury fillings (can't remember the names, eet 'as been so long since we were in ze old country) or sweets and ice cream. bon. we ordered a spicy sausage and a vegetarian crepe with le cidre.

ze pancake parlour, zis ees not! crepes are made wis buckwheat flour in large pans and the filling ees placed in the centre. you roll your own 'ere. not very pleasing to look at, zey are delicious. i recommend that cider with your crepe. good for lunch but maybe not for dinner. zey can successfully bridge ze gap between breakfast and brunch or brunch and lunch. breakunch or brunchunch. maybe even linner - somebozy, stop me. mon dieu!

very cheep and tasty. a crepe will cost you between $6 and $14. you can speek french here too or go along to ze french conversation dinner to brush up a bit before taking on france. a 'appy (in a french kind of way) place, full of light and food. very french, non?
