ahhh... strozzi. it's been a good few years since i sat here every morning with my ciabatta toast and macchiato, but i remember the days fondly. now here's a place that hasn't really changed that much. they still do very good mood lighting and coffee. yes they do food and stuff, but i've never really gone past the coffee. strozzi is located at the bottom of that beautiful building in collins st - i worked there for all of three months and loved walking into work every day.

the place is generally filled with wankers, because of all the surrounding financial institutions. they walk in with their mont blancs and compendiums and i'm sure they only hold their meetings here so they can try and get it on with their female colleagues. there's no other reason, as it's quite hard to read or write in the dim and sexy lighting (yes, i've tried to have a meeting there.) happily the atmosphere at strozzi is such that it's easy to block out the inane chatter (read: dirty innuendo coming from wanker corner) and wallow in your own thoughts. or at least, that's what i do.

i don't recognise any of the waiters from my days of yore here, but they're all still doing it for me - good to know that they only hire good looking people at strozzi, isn't it?
