auburn village deli - 96 auburn road hawthorn east

it's a very strange feeling walking into a place where pretty much everyone is looking down at the floor/breakfast/papers. like a mini depression in the middle of hawthorn. no welcome, no smiling, no talking! you in the corner! no enjoying yourself and definitely no talking! goddamit, stop smiling and shut the fuck up!

we never got to order. barely sat down. basically we got a bit freaked out and heading back up the road to cafe on auburn. and i'm not going back no matter how good the food might be so don't bother posting comments trying to convince me otherwise.

    always good to hear something positive :). and for some places 'it has changed hands' is the best news. thanks joeseph. i might wander in sometime but the slightest sign of moodiness will confirm nothing has changed.
