cafe blac - 707 glenferrie road hawthorn 3122 9818 8965

it's 38 degrees outside, cafe blac is nice and cool...and that's about all worth writing about this place. food is crap and staff are useless (four attempts at getting the juice right-*and my pancakes came with bacon - what the fuck?!). the thing is i'm sure i've been here before and walked away with exactly the same feeling i have now. 'that was crap, i'll never go back'.

you know when you see something or something happens that makes you go 'whoah! i've got a feeling i've been here before?'. you know when you see something or something happens that makes you go 'whoah! i've got a feeling i've been here before?'. well, it hit me when the pancakes arrived (cold so probably made two hours ago) with some bacon and the blank expression common in waitresses around the world - 'didn't you order bacon?'. yes, i ordered slices of pig with my dessert breakfast and if you take it away now who know what i will end up with.

apparently i didn't drink my juice fast enough either because that was whisked away half empty. i'm usually a half full kinda person but cafe blac sucked all the life force from me. coffee was actually quite good (pretty little design on my cappuccino) but it's like saying 'jeez, that boat has nice windows' while it sinks in front of you. i'm never going back. deja fuck-you-very-much, cb.
