i can't believe i haven't written about isa brown before now. i've had plenty of time and plenty of wine there. they have it all - open fire, yellow pvc sofa, good coffee. don't be put off by the lego sign outside. it isn't some crazy miniature lego world with lego freaks that i dreamed about when i was 12. what? oh, yeah, isa brown.

the guys make the good coffee, the chicks don't. maybe it's a training thing or maybe they do other stuff really well (hmmm). either way, the coffee is very good so if you get a lousy cup 'o coffee, don't be shy to return it while pointing an accusing finger at the nearest chick waiter and screaming 'get away from the fucking machine!!'

it's one of my favourite places for a wine and a sit down, especially when i should be at work. yup, there's nothing better than a glass of white wine on a yellow pvc sofa on a hot day in summer. except when the sweat pools around your butt. that's a little uncomfortable. but, aside from that, i love it. i haven't had food there yet as the wine usually distracts me but it's gonna happen someday.

well worth a visit to ib (as i like to call it). the top guy there knows about running a cafe and that makes more than half the difference. enjoy but leave the yellow sofa free. that's my spot.
